You Are Not A Tree… Move!

3e49f173ebae50d6b0e5dda36b9984c2I know it’s been a while since my last post & I don’t want to make this a pattern. I promise myself to post once a month!

The title of this post comes from my mentor in my head, Founder/CEO of Curlbox, Myleik Teele. I follow her on snap/insta, listen to her podcasts, & subscribed to her newsletter… only thing left on my list is meeting the woman.

So when she said this she was referring to someone that hates their job. But when she said it really stung and its been echoing in my head ever since.

Often we feel stuck because we have either grown content or tired at a job, in a relationship, in a mindset, spiritual growth, hobbies, residence, wardrobe/looks. We find ourselves getting miserable to the point that your uninspired and it affects every part of your life.

If your reading this you can see. You have some sort of education to read. You can speak, hear, move your body… you are capable of all things because God made you so ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!

When our spirits are hungry for more sometimes we convince ourselves to overcompensate by focusing on things that aren’t good to our spirit. You are only stuck if you keep telling yourself you are. Get out and make some moves. Everyday is an opportunity to get closer to being in your newness. Some advice on getting on the move

  •  Be honest with yourself and others about what you really want
  • Start doing small new things and then get bigger
  • Network
  • Believe in yourself
  • Apply yourself fully
  • DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF… Remember , you will take away many lessons from every good & bad experience !

Please email me at if you have any questions or need any advice!

XO, A fellow Sunflower
